Job description We are now looking for a motivated Junior Expert to join the Vaccine-Preventable Diseases (VPD) Team at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC). This position offers a unique opportunity to provide interim services within a highly specialized team, focusing on immunization policies, scientific evidence, and disease surveillance. You will work at the heart of European public health, contributing to projects that strengthen the continent's ability to detect and respond to infectious disease threats. This position is a maternity cover starting mid-June, meaning it is likely to be a longer-term assignment (with a first order until September 30, 2026). Qualifications: A University degree within the field of medicine, public health, epidemiology, biosciences, or related fields. Working experience in the field of vaccine-preventable diseases in the area of public health, epidemiology, and/or surveillance. Very good English language skills (written and spoken).
