Maintenance Supervisor

Job description

Job Summary Coordinate and supervise the activities of skilled and unskilled maintenance workers. Ensure proper methods and procedures are followed to maintain, repair and service equipment, buildings and facilities in compliance with building codes and safety standards. Maintain production equipment in a manner that meets organization standards and ensure minimum equipment downtime. Inspect projects to ensure conformity to specifications, direct safety inspections and preventative maintenance programs. Responsible for maintaining stock of inventory of materials, parts and specialized tools for the maintenance function. Responsibility: - Manage and direct the activities of employees and equipment in maintenance department in the absence of the maintenance manager. - Effective employee relations including handling employee complaints, obtaining help and guidance for employees with problems. - Conducts monthly department meetings. - Complete performance evaluations for all maintenance employees. - Ensure appropriate parts and supplies are available in order to properly maintain essential equipment and uptime. - Maintain and direct all PM&PD activities. - Maintain PMX and / or IFS sof...
