Job Description: Overview: The Senior Machinist operates and uses a variety of machine shop tools at an experienced journey level to assist in the fabrication of repair parts for equipment. Essential Functions: 1 Operates a variety of machine tools such as lathe, milling machine, shaper, band saw, and other fabrication tools to produce repair parts for equipment; understands and applies protocols and procedures for repairing machines. 2 Identifies and determines the best method for making a part, sets-up machines for the job including designing and making tools and jigs, and selects the proper stock material to ensure a quality product; orders tools and supplies to ensure proper materials are available for use. 3 Performs calc...
