What's the role? At HERE Technologies, we maintain a massive database of HD Map data that serves as the "brain" for self-driving vehicles. But before a car hits the real road, it must drive millions of virtual kilometers.To enable this, we built SceneXtract a tool that allows simulation engineers to find specific road scenarios using natural language. We are looking for a versatile, "best tool for the job" engineer. We don't need a specialist in one specific protocol; we need someone who can dive into a massive data lake and build the high-performance bridges required to make that data move.Currently, our challenge is building a sophisticated conversion engine to translate complex internal data structures into external formats. This involves deep JVM (Java/Kotlin) work for performance-critical logic, while simultaneously utilizing Python to integrate AI Agents and LLMs that make the data searchable.
