Job description
The Virtual Assembly Lead is responsible for coordinating and executing virtual assembly simulations and virtual builds that analyze automotive assembly processes to assist in scroll development, reduce risk, improve safety, and optimize efficiency before physical production begins. Key responsibilities include conducting realistic virtual assembly trials and virtual design reviews (VDRs) by validating workstation processes , and tooling kinematics through use of Siemens Process Simulate, motion capture, and virtual reality tools to simulate operators of varying anthropometric percentiles and evaluate reach, vision, and clearance for consistent job performance across the workforce. This role also supports th e methodology of Sequence BOM across vehicle progra ms, ensu ring accurate sequence representation for cross discipline use within virtual environments. This position requires close collaboration with program specialists and engineers across disciplines—including industrial engineering, product engineering, feasibility, logistics, workplace integration (WPI), tooling, and ergonomics/safety—and incorporates operator feedback to visualize and validate future operations and produc...
