Position Overview As an Asbestos Technician, you will be responsible for conducting asbestos inspections, sampling, and abatement oversight in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. Your expertise in asbestos management practices and your commitment to safety will be essential in safeguarding our clients and communities from the hazards of asbestos exposure. Responsibilities: Qualifications: - Perform asbestos inspections, surveys, and assessments in mass transit systems, commercial properties, industrial properties, and residential buildings using appropriate sampling and testing methods. - Collect samples of suspect materials, prepare chain of custody, deliver samples to lab, and interpret lab results to determine asbestos content. - Prepare detailed reports documenting asbestos findings, including location, condition, and recommended abatement actions. - Perform asbestos air monitoring and project monitoring during asbestos abatement projects, including contractor supervision, work area setup, final clearance testing, Hazardous Waste Storage Area inspections. - Conduct periodic inspections and audits to monitor ongoing asbestos management activities and identify...
