About the Role We are seeking an experienced Building Control Surveyor to join our Operations Engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will work as an internal consultant, overseeing compliance, technical standards and design assurance across more than 165 building assets. You will support both technical and non technical teams, ensuring our buildings meet all legislative requirements and industry best practice. What You’ll Be Doing: - Leading on Building Regulations, Building Act and fire safety compliance across the Port’s estate. - Developing technical standards for maintenance, inspections and project activities. - Reviewing designs, plans, surveys and consultant reports to ensure compliance and quality. - Developing and maintaining building maintenance and intervention plans. - Managing and reviewing principal inspections, including consultant-delivered work. - Conducting your own inspections, identifying defects and recommending corrective actions. - Supporting the development of a...
