Job description

The Shop Technician plays an essential support role within Onstream Pipeline Inspection, contributing to the mechanical and electrical preparation of tools used in inline inspection (ILI) projects. Responsibilities include tool builds, maintenance, troubleshooting, and general support for field operations. The ideal candidate brings technical skill, mechanical aptitude, and a proactive work ethic to help maintain safe and efficient shop operations. Tool Preparation & Maintenance: Build, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on pipeline inspection tools and support equipment per provided quality and build timelines. Follow blueprint diagrams (mechanical/electrical) and complete relevant build checklists. Conduct troubleshooting and basic diagnostics on electrical and mechanical tool systems. Document refurbishment activities in maintenance logs or digital systems, including parts used and work performed. Perform functional tests and QA verifications as required by SOPs. Field Support Preparation: Assist in tool readiness and loading for field deployment. Support field technicians by preparing backup equipment when required.
