Job description

Description Manages the scheduling and logistics of injection procedures, including coordinating with patients, providers, and facilities. Key responsibilities include scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, obtaining authorizations, and providing pre- and post-procedure instructions to patients. Essential Functions: Generate reports for dates of service (DOS) worked on. Run daily reports for add-on patients and ensure proper documentation. Prepare injections for technicians for scheduled dates of service, along with the expected list of patients. Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility. Request prior authorizations from insurance companies for prescriptions and office visits, call in or fax prescriptions to the pharmacy accurately and promptly. Follow up with pharmacies to obtain prescription status updates. Request and track office visit referrals and authorizations and key into internal system accurately and timely. Inform patients of any co-pays related to office visits or pharmacy services. Apply to co-pay assistance foundations when injection costs exceed established amount(s).
