Job description

Overview of the Position: Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, create component repair documentation, suitable for FAA and/or airline approval. Create manufacturing data needed to fabricate components, printed circuit boards and other items to support the repair of aircraft components. Support the repair station technicians by providing technical assistance, test and assembly fixture creation and detailed procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Reverse engineer, troubleshoot, and repair of various aircraft components, both electrical and mechanical, using manual and automatic measuring equipment. - Establish measurement tolerances using accepted industry practices and/or review of next higher assemblies . - Create , revise, and review designs using SolidWorks 3D CAD Software platform and /or Altium PCB software. - Design electrical or mechanical test fixtures and create written procedures. - Create PMA (Parts Manufacturing Approval) and repair process supporting documentation packages for submittal to the FAA and/or customers. - Research, collect data, and work with design teams to evaluate, select, adapt, and modify techniques, procedures and criteria to so...
