Job Summary: Reporting to and under immediate supervision of the Director of the Northwest Information Center, the NWIC Researcher provides historical resources data to practicing public and private consultants as well as to local, state, and federal agency representatives by gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing historical resources data. The incumbent serves as a professional contact point for consultants and members of the general public regarding historical resources and environmental/historic preservation laws and the fields of archaeology, history, and architectural history; and, enters historical resource and report information into the NWIC database and geographic information system (GIS) as requested.
