Job Summary Under the supervision of the Office Manager, the Referral Coordinator receives requests for referrals from various sources and prioritize their completion in a timely manner, to include meeting insurance requirements, scheduling, completing necessary forms, providing appropriate records, communicating appointments and prep to patients. Core Job Responsibilities: - Receive requests for referrals and prioritize - Enter order and route to provider for signature – track successful completion - Determine insurance/worker comp carrier requirements - Contact specialists/central scheduling to arrange appointments - Interact with providers to obtain information and clarification on orders - Run tracking reports and work to resolve issues, to include - Maintain files for completed referrals/worker compensation cases - Send reminder letters for annual mammo appointments - Log out of network referrals - Maintain working knowledge and obtain updates as necessary of all insurance providers ACP participates with - Update patient demographics including insurance coverage as necessary and communicate to registration - Provide backup coverage as assigned - Interact with providers to obta...
