How you make a difference The Registered Nurse Specialist in Oncology plays a critical role in providing specialized care to patients undergoing cancer treatment by utilizing the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Working under the supervision of Charge Nurses, they deliver education and guidance to patients, ensuring individualized care and support. With advanced training in oncology and related specialties, they bring expertise in managing complex patient needs and promoting positive outcomes throughout treatment. Additional Details: -Candidate must have chemotherapy/oncology certification. Qualifications & Requirements: Education: - Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Experience: - Prefer a minimum of one (1) year clinic experience. Licenses/Certifications: - Have and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse within the state of employment. - Have and maintain specialized training documentation in area of clinical focus (for example, Hep-C, HIV, Oncology, etc.). - Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
