Individual Placement – Resilience Authority Tree Care Team

Job description

Position Summary This position directly supports Nature-Based climate resilience in Charles County by caring for native trees planted across public schools and two new innovative urban pocket parks, as well as supporting a variety of park maintenance projects. Work projects may include tree care and maintenance, trail work, habitat restoration, and more. Through this work, participants will gain hands-on conservation experience and help address the impacts of climate change in their community. Participants will have access to nature-based climate resilience “green infrastructure” training and opportunities to work with and meet natural resource professionals as part of the Resilience Authority’s natural resources career development efforts. Work will primarily be accomplished by 2 adult leaders, with Saturdays of May and June dedicated to mentoring and supervising 2 high school crew members.
