Job description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Assesses patient health status including state of wellness, compliance with a care plan and determines appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. - Provides acute and chronic patient virtual care including taking histories, doing remote physicals, monitoring therapies, and prescribing medications. - Triages patient calls and evaluates patient problems. - Documents patient information and care provided in the patient record and maintains patient statistics. - Educates patients and families as appropriate. Provides continuity of care. - Consults with other staff as necessary. - Maintains patient confidentiality. EDUCATION: - BA/BS, MS preferred. - Graduate of an AMA accredited physician assistant or nurse practitioner program. EXPERIENCE: - Experience in orthopedics is required. REQUIREMENTS: - Current state NP/PA license, - Certified by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants or Accreditation Board of Specialty Nursing Certification (ABSNC) - Current CPR certification KNOWLEDGE: - Knowledge of acute and chronic protocols, administration of medications, delivering physical care following the treatment plan. - Knowledge of how to ass...
