Job description

The Host/Hostess position is responsible for seating guests in a prompt, friendly, and efficient manner and ensuring equal distribution of guests among servers. The Host/Hostess also ensures that guest experience and the environment is positive. Essential Functions: Performs other tasks as assigned. - Greets and seats customers. - Supplies guests with information on services available on property. - Answers phone calls and directs them appropriately. - Accurately makes and cancels reservations. - Effectively maintains wait and quote times. - Takes orders over the phone, ensures all items are in a bag and ready for the guests. - May handle cash transactions at the host stand. - Accommodates any special needs of guests, i.e., boosters, highchairs, etc. Core Competencies: - Demonstrates consistent regard and dedication to guests, vendors, colleagues and the Company by being engaged, interested and productive - Demonstrates a working knowledge of our marketplace; actively and collaboratively assists in building the best practices necessary for the Company’s success - Demonstrates an understanding of the impact actions and decisions have on the Company both financially and on guest rela...
