Classification Title: Education/Training Spec II Job Description: The Education & Training Specialist II assists in the for planning, teaching, evaluating, and development of Physician, Non-physician practitioner, and staff education for the Office of Compliance for Physician Billing in the College of Medicine. About This Role: - Assists in routine, new provider, follow up audits, downstream audit, special investigations, as well as external requested reviews. - Provides education to providers (physicians, ARNP’s and PA’s) in regard to documentation, reimbursement, and compliance and provides technical assistance and educational materials for both annual general update, and new provider education. Complies specialty specific packets as appropriate. (Coding credential necessary for this function.) - Tracks educational activities of compliance office – including the updated list of providers and staff, and date educated and enters information in Compliance educational database. - Assists in conduct of regular compliance education and coding classes, including the weekly new employee orientation (non-provider). - Conducts searches for sanctioned persons in federal databases in accorda...
