Job DetailsJob Location: Los Angeles, CA 90013Position Type: Part TimeSalary Range: $17.80 - $18.51 HourlyThe Midnight Mission kitchen serves 3,000 meals a year to people on Skid Row who are experiencing homelessness. TMM also provides catering services. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the direct supervision of the Managing Chef, prepare food in a safe, clean and sanitized kitchen. Sweep and mop floors, collect and dispose of trash, re-stock pantries as needed, wash walls, clean and sanitize as necessary. Follow a planned menu to prepare food for all guests and staff.Qualifications Qualifications: - Demonstrated knowledge of cooking skills and cleaning techniques - Ability to project a professional demeanor and exercise mature judgement - Engagement and rapport building skills with guests, volunteers, and participants - Demonstrated ability to work with individuals of diverse social, economic and cultural backgrounds - Ability to work independently and complete assigned duties with minimum supervision. - Flexible, adaptable, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment that requires sensitivity and professionalism - Availability to work evening and weekends as re...
