Job Description: Position Title: Machine Operator Operating Company: Environmental Solutions Group – Marathon Equipment Location: Vernon, AL: Department: Operations: Shift: 1st Shift: Position Summary: Operate Fabrication equipment to produce parts (Brakes, Shear, MG Plasma, and Laser). Roles and Key Responsibilities: Inspect work for compliance to quality standards. Operate various types of equipment (IE: Hyster, cranes, jib booms, hand plasma). Follow standard Work Instructions to ensure proper quality. Read and interpret part drawings. Use measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, square, and protractor). Use basic PC skills to operate CNC controllers and complete work orders through Automated Data Collection software. Lift 25 pounds repeatedly (40 pounds maximum). Housekeeping. Perform daily PM’s on machines and keep machines wiped down and clean. Performs other various duties as may be assigned. Requirements: Education: Requires a High School diploma or GED.
