Job Title Financial Specialist II (Cashier) Agency: Prairie View A&M University Department: Financial Administration Proposed Minimum Salary: Commensurate Job Location: Prairie View, Texas Job Type: Staff Job Description: The Financial Specialist II, under general supervision, provides advanced clerical, accounting, and customer service support duties for Treasury Services. The salary is determined in accordance with the University’s compensation structure and will be commensurate with the candidates’ education and experience, within the assigned salary range for this position. Responsibilities: Assist Cashier Supervisor with reviewing daily cashier check-out sheets and bank deposits, using Banner and Touchnet. Assist in balancing cash receipt folders for data entry by Accounting Services. Assist with making daily bank deposits for the University’s funds as well as assist with monitoring the University’s Cash Vault at all times. Assists with cash count of the vault on a weekly basis. Provide professional customer service to students, staff, faculty, and vendors. Monitor departmental message box to respond to customers in a timely manner.
