Summary: The International Center provides educational programming for immigrants and refugees with the goal of improving learners’ English proficiency and communication skills . The incumbent will develop, design, and deliver thoughtful and effective ESOL classes and provide individual support and connection to services for English Language Learners. Salary: $38.00 per hour, part time, 30 - 34 hours per week. Locations: 80 Maiden Lane, New York, NY, 10038 Duties and Responsibilities: - Course Development and Instruction : In coordination with the Program Manager , desi gn and deliver online 10-week ESOL courses over four semesters e ach year at intermediate and advanced levels. Create thorough and well-developed class curricula focusing on communi cative competence for immigrant s , aligned with appropriate NRS levels based on student need . In line with the current pedagogy, content will be meaningful and relevant to students ’ self-sufficiency outside the classroom. - Manage and Support Students : Work with other Center staff and additional CCCS services to address student needs outside the classroom.
