This position is eligible for a part-time, prorated $1,562.50 retention bonus. Job Summary: The Providence Center Adult & Children Clinical Intake Specialist will assess/evaluate the type and degree of a new (or returning) adult or child/adolescent client’s mental health and/or substance use condition to determine whether services are needed and to link the client to the most appropriate services. To establish a psychiatric diagnosis, collect data sufficient to permit a case formulation and to develop an initial treatment plan as needed. Duties and Responsibilities: Perform new (and returning) client evaluation, diagnosis, intake and assessment, crisis intervention (if required), client education, and program referral and orientation. Maintain flexibility in the need of location and age demographic for initial assessments. Perform a comprehensive psychosocial assessment of assigned consumers. Treat consumers with respect. Perform in a calm and professional manner during crisis or emergency situations. Apply knowledge of Psychiatric Diagnosis (DSM IV); ASAM placement criteria; Motivational Interviewing; and Recovery Based best practices. Perform and record mental status examination....
