Senior Software Engineer – Guided Study Pearson Learning Studio: Pearson Learning Studio is looking for a Senior Software Engineer / Advanced Specialist to join the Guided Study team and help build AI-powered learning experiences at scale. This role is ideal for a strong full-stack engineer with hands-on experience in modern web development and practical exposure to AI systems such as LLM integrations and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). You will work closely with the Principal Engineer and cross-functional teams to deliver intelligent, scalable features that improve student outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Full-Stack Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using: ReactJS (frontend) Java and/or Python (backend): SQL-based databases: Build clean APIs and ensure smooth frontend-backend integration. Write maintainable, well-tested, production-ready code. AI Feature Implementation: Integrate at least one Large Language Model (LLM) into application workflows. Implement and optimize RAG pipelines under architectural guidance. Apply practical prompt engineering techniques to improve output quality.
