Description: JOB SUMMARY: Within the context of a client/family centred care model and under general supervision of an interdisciplinary care team, this position assists Registered Nurses, Occupational Therapists and Physical Therapists and in carrying out individual or group leisure activities and established nursing/personal care programs. Duties include selecting and carrying out activities, assisting the client with practising daily living skills, accompanying clients on group outings, observing and reporting client progress, participating in unit discussions and inservices, and performing nursing procedures such as administering suppositories and enemas and taking and recording temperature, pulse and respiration.
