Financial Aid Specialist

Job description

The Financial Aid Specialist will execute financial aid and private loan activities, implement financial aid policies and procedures, and ensure financial aid compliance. Work together with the Campus Director, Enrollment Advisor and Student Services to ensure high customer service standards. Perform administrative functions and complete management reports accurately and timely. Abide by the school, state, and federal standards. Requirements: · Meet with prospective and current (or returning) students (and their families) to determine financial aid eligibility and provide guidance to them about financial aid-related applications. · Review student files and withdrawal documents for completeness and accuracy, in compliance with Federal, institutional policies and procedures. · Have a clear working understanding of Title IV program information. · Evaluates Federal and/or institutional requirements for all students who withdraw from TUBC. · Verifies attendance, recalculates student eligibility and processes return of TIV funds. · Performs all refunds to ensure funds are returned to the appropriate Federal programs within required timeframes. · Work closely with the Business Office to v...
