What does the job involve?: Empire Wind Offshore Wind Farm, along with South Brooklyn Marine Terminal, will be one of the world’s largest offshore windfarms and staging ports and will power over 500,000 homes in New York. It is currently under construction with the port already operational and first power expected by the end of 2026. The wind farm is located 15-30 nautical miles south of Long Island, New York. The O&M Base, including the warehouse for spare parts and consumables, and the Control Room will be located on-site at South Brooklyn Marine Terminal in New York City. During the operations phase, maintenance of the wind farm will be conducted from the Service Operations Vessel (SOV) and a Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV). The Offshore O&M coordinator reports to the offshore maintenance leader and supports safe, efficient, and reliable maintenance activities across the Empire Wind Farm.
