Classification Title: AST/ASO/FULL PROF Classification Minimum Requirements: Applicants must be board-certified or board eligible in Palliative Care and be eligible for a Florida Medical License. M.D. degree or equivalent is required. Job Description: We seek a clinician‑investigator to join a dynamic and collaborative academic environment. The successful candidate will be expected to pursue and obtain an NIH career development (K) award and to establish an independent, externally funded research program. In addition to research, this role includes providing inpatient consultative care as part of an interdisciplinary team that includes advanced practice providers, social work, chaplaincy, and pharmacy. The physician will provide expert symptom management across serious illness, including complex pain, dyspnea, nausea, delirium, and anxiety, using evidence-based pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic approaches tailored to patient goals of care. This role will facilitate discussion and clarification of goals of care for patients and families and collaborate with the primary medical team to establish appropriate treatment plan options based on the goals of care discussion.
