Overview The Garfield County Office of Utah State University Extension seeks a qualified individual to work with children and families as a Family Services Program Assistant at local schools. Under the direction of the Home and Community Faculty, this individual is primarily responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing the Family and Community Partnership service area. Works individually with family members to determine educational and social service needs. Acts as liaison between families and community organizations. Helps plan and implement quarterly Family Night Out events each school year. Arranges for other community classes and organizations to be held on site. Responsibilities: - Helps plan and implement quarterly Family Night Out Activities each school year. - Assists parents in developing individualized short-and long-term goals and in accomplishing them. - Coordinates family learning center and on-site community classes. - Participates in community boards, councils, advisory groups, etc., coordinating resources that meet the needs of intergenerational poverty families, establishing and maintaining cooperative relationships with them. - Maintain organized records...
