Job Title: Instructor I Job Status: Part-time, up to 24 hours weekly Job Summary: Under general supervision, the Instructor I creates and provides a safe learning environment designed to engage students and children in academic, mental, and physical health, life skills, and enrichment activities in an educational setting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Create lesson plans and implement activities that contribute to a climate where children and students are actively engaged in age-appropriate play, learning and meaningful experiences - May teach participant basic concepts of alphabet, numbers, colors, shapes, and comparison - Effectively use age-appropriate behavioral techniques to redirect participant’s behavior - Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities - Identify, select and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles and special needs - Assist in assessing changing curricular needs and offer plans for improvement - Maintain effective and efficient record-keeping procedures - Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with parents, participants, and other professionals...
