Overview: Reporting to the Technical Accounting Director, the Principal Technical Accountant is responsible for researching, drafting, and communicating technical accounting policy under US GAAP. This position will have significant integration with the company’s external audit firm and various members of management and in partnering and leading other members of the technical accounting team. Key Responsibilities: - Performs research, determines financial reporting and disclosure impact in the Company's Form 10-K and 10-Q, and prepares technical memos to support the Company's accounting treatment of the most significant and highly complex transactions. - Counsels and advises internal partners on consistent and appropriate application of financial accounting policies and procedures. - Drafts illustrative policy examples, as necessary, to either improve current policy library or to clarify relevant application of US GAAP to any evolving business practices. - Leads projects...
