Job Summary The Pharmacist Resident PGY1 participates in a structured, postgraduate training program to develop clinical and operational pharmacy skills in a healthcare setting. Under the supervision of preceptors and clinical pharmacy leaders, the resident provides pharmaceutical care, supports medication management initiatives, and engages in interdisciplinary collaboration to improve patient outcomes. The PGY1 resident gains experience in various pharmacy practice areas, including acute care, ambulatory care, and pharmacy operations, while also contributing to quality improvement and research projects. Essential Functions: - Provides direct patient care by conducting medication therapy management (MTM), reviewing medication regimens, and making evidence-based recommendations. - Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to optimize medication use and improve patient outcomes. - Participates in clinical pharmacy rotations across multiple disciplines, including internal medicine, critical care, infectious diseases, ambulatory care, and more. - Reviews medication orders for accuracy, safety, and adherence to hospital protocols before dispensing. - Supports pharmacok...
