Job description

JOB TITLE: Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular and peripheral vascular procedures in the ASC setting. The RN functions in pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure phases of care while ensuring compliance with CMS ASC Conditions for Coverage, infection control standards, and patient safety regulations. REQUIREMENTS: - Active RN license (Pennsylvania or Multi-state) - Minimum 1–2 years critical care or cath lab experience preferred - BLS and ACLS required - Moderate sedation training preferred CLINICAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: - Advanced cardiac rhythm interpretation - ACLS certification (required) - Moderate sedation competency validation - Hemodynamic monitoring proficiency Knowledge of: - Anticoagulants and antiplatelets - Contrast safety protocols - Radiation safety principles - Ability to respond to emergencies until transfer if needed KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Pre-Procedure Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nursing assessments including: - Cardiac history and physical review - Medication reconciliation (anticoagu...
