Bass School of Music occasionally has openings for part-time temporary adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the areas of applied music and classroom teaching in music theory, music history, music education as well as other specialized music course work. Applying for a part-time adjunct teaching appointment allows faculty chairs from across the School to access candidate materials if/when a teaching need arises throughout the current or future academic year. Quality instruction includes clear course objectives, prepared and relevant class activities, effective and understandable presentations of learning materials, fair and understandable grading practices, timely responses to students, and a positive atmosphere in the classroom.
