POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Health Physicist provides health physics and waste management technical support for waste treatment and disposal facilities. The incumbent will be the technical subject matter expert on radiation safety. The Senior Health Physicist will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of radiological procedures for Republic Services' operations. The incumbent will be responsible for implementation of policies and procedures in compliance of all federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety (EHS) and radiological protection regulations. The Senior Health Physicist will also provide technical health physics support to operations, quality, engineering, facilities, and supply chain functions. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops and implements radiation safety protocols, policies, and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
