Description The Physics Department at The College of Wooster invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor, beginning in August 2022. We are looking for a colleague with a strong commitment to undergraduate education, including the ability to meaningfully involve our diverse undergraduate students in a research program. The successful candidate will teach courses and labs at all levels and mentor students in research projects at various levels of difficulty. Candidates should demonstrate engaging and inclusive teaching practices and have the ability to effectively mentor students from historically marginalized groups (including though not limited to BIPOC individuals and women). A Ph.D. in Physics or a related field is required. We invite applications from candidates who can contribute to the intellectual vibrancy and diversity of the academic community through their teaching, research, and service, and who are committed to ensuring the success of diverse student populations.
