Description The College Core Curriculum at New York University invites applications for visiting lecturer appointments, with the rank of Lecturer, to begin September 1, 2026, pending administrative and budgetary approval. We are seeking to hire recent NYU graduates with a strong record of teaching. These are full-time, non-tenure track, one-year appointments in either the Foundations of Scientific Inquiry or Foundations of Contemporary Culture. The primary instructional responsibilities are attending lectures of Core courses led by full-time faculty instructors-of-record, leading recitation or laboratory sections associated with these courses, and grading. Over the academic year, the teaching load is a total of six recitation sections, or the equivalent, which is typically a First-Year Seminar taught as instructor-of-record; and course relief is also available for planning and leading the Core orientation sessions and the teaching and learning colloquium.
