Quality Control Technician

Job description

Description The Quality Control (QC) Technician supports safe, efficient production by sampling, testing, documenting, and reporting results for aggregates and/or related materials in accordance with company procedures and applicable specifications. This role performs routine laboratory and field testing, maintains accurate records, and communicates quality trends and out-of-spec conditions to operations so corrective actions can be taken. Requirements: - Collect representative samples from stockpiles, bins, barges, belts, trucks, and/or production points following established sampling methods. - Perform routine QC testing (e.g., gradation/sieve analysis, moisture, specific gravity/absorption, unit weight, cleanliness, and other aggregate-related tests as assigned) per applicable procedures and standards. - Visually inspect material stockpiles and production streams for quality concerns (e.g., oversize, contamination, segregation, moisture issues) and promptly communicate findings. - Calculate and track production/processing metrics as needed (e.g., tons per hour, blend proportions) to support consistent product quality. - Complete daily, weekly, and monthly QC reports and submissi...
