Job Description: SGS is looking for a Mechanical Inspector near Union City, Indiana for a contract expected to last ~8 months or until the facility is in service. The Mechanical Inspector will support construction activities by performing field inspections and verifying that mechanical installations meet project requirements, applicable codes, and safety standards. This role works closely with site supervision and reports to the Lead Mechanical Inspector. - Perform field inspections of mechanical installations including piping and equipment - Verify materials, fabrication, and installation comply with drawings and specifications - Witness mechanical and pressure testing activities - Document inspection results, punch list items, and deficiencies - Verify corrective actions and support mechanical completion walk‑downs - Communicate quality or safety concerns to inspection leadership - Follow all si...
