It's more than a career, it's a calling MO-SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital 1201 Grand Worker Type: Regular Job Highlights: This is a full-time, day-shift position working three 12-hour shifts per week. The hours are 6am-6:30pm with a weekend and holiday rotation. MUST have a Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) certification through the Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (NNCC). Job Summary: Provides direct or indirect care to a varying number of patients and performs various functions associated with hemodialysis treatments independently and under the direction of a registered nurse. Job Responsibilities and Requirements: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES - Prepares patients for procedures by taking vital statistics and reviewing dialysis orders and lab work. - Sets up and monitors equipment for procedures both during and after. - Notes and documents patient's condition during procedure via observation, interview and monitoring of vital statistics; reports abnormal assessment findings. - Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN. - Obtains, processes and transports blood samples and culture specimens as ordered. - De...
