Job description

DUTIES: Under the direction of the PHN12 Nursing Manager, coordinator plays a leadership role in assessing and training on maternal/infant mortality and morbidity. Performs and implements health education, prevention, and control measures according to Healthy Start Systems protocols. In line with Healthy People 2030/Health of Boston report identifies patterns, provides education and outreach as needed for successful outcomes for maternal child health. - Ensures equitable approach to maternal and child health that incorporates BPHC racial justice principles. - Assists with development of data collections tools and ensures complete and accurate collection of data. - Plays a key role in maternal child health related activities. Provides education and outreach on maternal child health issues to health care providers, agencies, and community groups throughout the city. Acts as a resource on maternal health child related issues for Healthy Start Systems and other BPHC staff, non-BPHC providers, and community groups. - Supervises subordinates as required. - Assists in orientation of new staff and staff development programs. - Identifies or develops maternal child health resources. - Provi...
