Assistant Director of Student Involvement

Job description

As an assistant director of student involvement, you will oversee all interclub council (ICC) student processes and advise on the development and implementation of educational, social, community service, and cultural programs. You will also pitch event ideas, concepts, décor, and models to the senior director of student experience for approval. You will train and provide development opportunities for student club leaders and faculty/staff advisers. Among other duties, you will conduct assessments and compile reports related to student activities and ICC. You will also meet with student club leaders to discuss, implement, and evaluate location-specific programs, events, and trips. Additionally, you will ensure ICC compliance with safety standards and university policies and procedures. In this role, you will plan and support large-scale student involvement and SCAD signature events, such as orientations and the Sidewalk Arts Festival, to foster positive relationships with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and external guests.
