Middle School Math Teacher

Job description

Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School is looking for a warm, talented Math educator who will serve as a full-time middle school mathematics teacher and advisor. The ideal candidate will be an experienced math educator who loves working with students in grades 5-8, has strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral), is a collaborative team player, and is comfortable integrating math with technology, science, and other subjects when possible. Additional experience in science and technology is very much welcomed! Candidates must be comfortable teaching in-person math and also be able to shift to virtual teaching if ever necessary. The ability to inspire in students a passion for learning is essential, as is the ability to develop in them both an appreciation for and a deep understanding of math skills and concepts. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to cultivate creative problem solving, critical thinking, and higher-order mathematical reasoning skills.
