Job description
Introduction Within ASML, the Mechatronics Research team in Veldhoven focuses on improving the accuracy of wafer stage positioning. Disturbances caused by cables and hoses can affect performance and limit precision. In this internship, you will help reduce these disturbances. You will work on a concept that improves reproducibility and stability of critical systems. This assignment offers hands-on engineering experience. Your assignment: In this assignment, you will contribute to the design of a modular system that splits hoses and cables into controlled segments. You will collaborate closely with another intern and with a mentor to translate concepts into detailed designs. You will explore design trade-offs and optimize performance across several subsystems. Your main responsibilities will be: This is a master’s or bachelor’s internship for minimum 6 months, minimum 4 days per week (3 days on-site). The start date of this internship is as of September 2026 and is flexible. - Design and model a mechatronic subsystem using CAD - Define actuator concepts and positioning based on actuation requirements - Evaluate measurement system options and determine optimal placement - Validate de...
