Maintenance Technician

Job description

Overview Performs basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and miscellaneous repairs and preventive maintenance duties. Responsibilities: - Performs carpentry tasks (rough and finish carpentry), sheetrock repairs, patching and painting. - Trouble shoot problems with equipment; perform mechanical work on pumps, motors, etc. - Makes periodic checks of unmanned machinery spaces to verify proper function and performance. - Performs routine preventive maintenance and/or inspection tasks. - Utilize computerized maintenance management system, to enter in work orders, track progress, communicate with users, and closeout orders once completed. - Maintains familiarity with all safety features of plant systems equipment and complies with current safety regulations. - Contacts the police / fire departments with emergent issues of building safety and security. - Sets up rooms for meetings or conferences, arranges tables and chairs and secures specified AV materials and equipment. - Rotates through schedule for emergency calls as requested for building related emergencies, after hours alarm calls, and staffing shortages. - Performs other duties as required or assigned.
