EDGING OPERATOR 1st Shift - 7am-3pm $18.25 - $19.75 Job Summary: Set up, operate, and tend edge printer and staining equipment to ensure efficient production of quality books as assigned. Duties/Responsibilities: - Set up, operate, and tend edge printer and staining equipment. - Review work orders, job instructions, and quality specifications to determine components, settings, and adjustments. - Start machines to verify set ups and make necessary adjustments. - Prepare and load materials. - Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions and report and resolve issues. - Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects. - Provide work direction to bindery assistants assigned staining area. - Perform general maintenance on machine. - Continually identify, develop, and implement improvements in work processes. - Provide training on machine and provide feedback to supervisors regarding progress of trainees. - Consistently and effectively serve as a positive role model by living Sheridan’s core values. - Perform other duties as assigned.
