Job DetailsJob Location: NEWNAN - Newnan, GA 30265Responsible for mastering the advanced work-up on patients in all Ophthalmology subspecialties. Advanced work-up to include the basic work-up components, plus: over-refraction, visual field testing, OCT, and fundus photography. Responsible assisting in minor procedures and preparing patient for laser. Responsible for sterilization of equipment, medical surfaces, and instruments. Works closely and communicates continuously with clinical support team and providers to efficiently move patients through their visit. Must consistently to deliver an exceptional patient experience. Ability to assess common safety hazards and take precautions to establish a safe work environment. Must be able to utilize EMR system and work within meaningful guidelines. Greets patients in a warm and friendly manner, explains testing procedure, answers all questions, and provides education when necessary. In addition to these duties the role of a scribe is to assist the physician with documentation of the patient’s electronic medical record (EMR), record results of the exam, input prescriptions and orders, as well as, documenting future appointments.
