Senior Security Engineer, Google Public Sector

Job description

Minimum qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. - 5 years of experience with system architecture, paradigms, and global infrastructure deployment (e.g., operating system administration, software-defined network configuration, identity and access management, Kubernetes). - 5 years of coding experience in one or more general purpose languages. - 2 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security and security protocols. - Ability to travel up to 25% domestically. - Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance. Preferred qualifications: - Experience in security assessments, security design reviews, or threat modeling. - Experience delivering comprehensive security solutions through design, coding, configuration, and deployment. - Experience with automated deployment models, such as Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and GitOps. - Knowledge of key security areas (e.g., threat modeling, incident response) and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, ITSG-33, C5, ISM, ISO). - Proven ability to secure products on GCP or other cloud service providers, and using tools like Terraform or Ansible....
