Mental Health Clinician - Multidisciplinary Grade: RPN3, SW2, OT2, P2 Full time and part time positions available Location: Western Plains Correctional Centre (WPCC) 1150 Bacchus Marsh Road, Lara 3212. We strive to provide the same standard of services and care to people in prisons that anyone else experiencing mental illness can access at an area mental health service. Our work in prisons includes: - triage - on-site assessments - ongoing clinical care and support - harm prevention and crisis interventions - outpatient clinics and episodic care - custodial mental health units - rehabilitation and transition to community programs Position Objective: The Mental Health Clinician delivers care within a custodial setting, practicing within a recovery framework and using sound judgement to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and maintain a high standard of patient care.
