Position Title: Custodian Position Type: Full time Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Categories: Staff Non-exempt Job Summary: Bucknell University is currently accepting applications for a highly-motivated, team-player to join our Facilities team as a Custodian. In this role, you will assist with the care and upkeep of the university, and create a welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff and external guests. Job Duties: Reporting Relationship Reports to: Custodial Supervisor: Location: On-campus Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm Successful candidates may be asked to work during special events This position is classified as essential services, and may be required to work when the campus is closed. What You'll Do: Performs routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces in assigned areas including classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas. Collects and disposes of trash, recycling, and other waste materials according to university policies and procedures. Ensures proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials when encountered.
