Description Job Title: Materials Co-op: Department: Engineering Reports To: Engineering Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly Supervise the work of others: No Position Summary: During this co-op experience, the student will be exposed to: · Planning, execute, analyze, summarize, and present various experiments which involve the use of tensile tester, DSC, rheometer, FTIR, and microscopy. · Learning fundamentals of chemistry for silicone rubbers, silicone adhesives, polyurethane, silanes · Getting acquainted with Minitab, data analysis, and design of experiments (DOE) · Working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment Preferred candidates for this co-op: · Major Fields: Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, or any related field · Have an interest in chemistry, polymers, and/or materials science. a. Completion of college general chemistry with lab is required b.
